While over 3,000 American soldiers have died in hostilities, a growing number have taken their own lives, often because of the horrors of fighting the war. The Pentagon has been criticised for its reluctance to give out clear figures on the problem.

But its statistics do show the suicide rate in Iraq is double what it was for the US Army in peacetime. It has also been accused of not doing enough to treat the mental health of troops who are now being asked to do increasingly longer and more frequent tours.

3,279 coalition deaths -- 3,027 Americans - To-date!!!

There have been 3,279 coalition deaths -- 3,027 Americans, two Australians, 129 Britons, 13 Bulgarians, six Danes, two Dutch, two Estonians, one Fijian, one Hungarian, 32 Italians, one Kazakh, three Latvian, 18 Poles, two Romanians, five Salvadoran, four Slovaks, 11 Spaniards, two Thai and 18 Ukrainians -- in the war in Iraq as of January 18, 2007, according to a CNN count.

When will George W. Bush open his eyes and pull our troops out? We cannot win anything at this point - just lose more good soldiers!!!!!!!!!
